I am still waiting

Squinting and waiting

All it took was a few dilating drops to distort my sight

A few innocent drops

And nine hours later I still shy away from the light

But then why would I be surprised

That’s all it ever takes

Vision can be deceiving

Deception happens in a second

When we think our sight is strongest

We may only be seeing what we want to see

And miss what’s really there so

I can only imagine what the saint’s sight was like who penned

“Be though my vision O Lord of my heart”

It has been said the saint was blind

But I suppose that all depends on how you embrace vision

Perhaps when we lose it, we really find it

Message from the Eye Doctor:

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye. (Psalm 32:8)
