To write is to hear God’s voice within. There is a filling, you sense it, igniting new life, sparking ideas.
I am nothing without God’s Spirit of creativity. Pray for others, the Spirit whispers. What do they need to hear? Equip others for their purpose, their mission.
I know that my life and strength, my ability, my work are gifts from God—they are not my own—and that I am most effective through others’ prayers for me. As prayer is most important to my being!
Prayer is nourishment of inspiration.
If prayer is essential to my ability to write with purpose and impact, will you pray for me? And I will pray for you. Together, God’s work through us will touch more and more of the broken hearted, for the world breaks us—the cries of hunger, the shouts of injustice, and yet, even still, the hope of healing remains.
I know your prayer has kept me writing, for surely I am nothing on my own.
Your prayer has provided protection, purpose, and power to step out, to step forward, to stand up.
Prayer turns worrywarts into warriors. You are a witness.
May we never write empty words, may our minds be cleared of clutter. May our hearts be quieted and soothed. Today, take out the ear buds, turn off the podcasts, leave the audible for tomorrow. Let the buds of God planted within you be watered with the Spirit’s voice, His tears. With open ears, in the sound of silence, an angel is softly singing…
The Lord will guide you always, he will satisfy your needs in a sun-parched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail. Isaiah 58:11
That is the Word of the Lord. It is true and it is for you.
